At the end of last month, I went to Tenerife for a week. It was our second time visiting Tenerife, we stayed in Costa Adeje back in 2011. This time we stayed in Playa de las Américas at Green Garden Resort. It was a very relaxing holiday and we were lucky enough to get really nice weather! Green Garden Resort is surrounded by a golf course called Golf Las Américas. We were in the deluxe golf view suite and the golf course was literally at the end of our terrace! It is also surrounded by mountains and there are lots of really pretty flowers and details all around the resort so even if you’re just walking around or relaxing by the pool, there are spectacular views everywhere. It also looks really pretty at night when all the pool lights are on. We were more than happy to just sit by the pool in the evening with some drinks because the atmosphere was really nice and so were the cocktails!
On our second day, we wanted to go down to the beach and into the main part of Playa de las Américas. It was quite a long walk from Green Garden Resort and we didn’t want to get lost, so we decided to get the bus there. When we arrived, it was a bit cloudy but still warm.
We started to walk along the promenade and after a while, the sun decided to come out! I took some photos, went into a few of the shops and then we watched all of the surfers, there were a lot of people surfing that day.
Just before we had to catch the bus back to the resort, we stopped for a drink because it was boiling. I had a strawberry milkshake, of course.
As it was a relaxing holiday, we were mostly sunbathing by the pool, drinking cocktails, listening to music and reading. It was such a nice time away with my parents as we were able to just relax and enjoy ourselves which I think we all needed!
There are a lot of things you can do in Tenerife. I went to Siam Water Park in 2011 which was amazing but there is still so much more to see like Loro Parque and Teide National Park.
Have you ever been to Tenerife before? If so, I would love to hear about your trip in the comments!
